      • Biographical Note: Son of Esmail Khan "Sardar-Ashayer" or "Sawlat al-Dowleh" (major landowner, tribal leader, & Majles deputy). Major landowner. Leader of the Ghashghaie tribe; 8th Majles deputy from Abadeh [his immunity was nullified in 1934]; appointed Senate 1 (Shiraz). In the 1960s & 70s he lived in exile in Europe and the United States and was a leading opponent of the Shah. Returned to Iran, after 25 years of exile on 22 Day 1979.
